With the intensifying debates in Europe on refugees, migration and populism, now is the time to ask ourselves what happens when we analyse these issues in terms of race.

During this seminar, we aim to investigate the idea that racism is a much more powerful and omnipresent form of exclusion in Europe than is generally assumed. The Migration and Diversity Center invites Gloria Wekker as a keynote speaker, Philomena Essed and may more speakers (among which several VU Amsterdam researchers and professors) to reflect on these issues.

More information, speakers and the complete programme can be found on the Migration and Diversity Center agenda.

Everyone is invited to participate after registration (for free).
