The Werkgroep Vrouwelijk Talent explicitly focuses on female talents with the ambition to conduct high-quality research and supports female talents to acquire prestigious scholarships. The WVT offers scholarships and initiatives as an opportunity for female talents to strengthen their chances on the scientific career ladder.
Twice a year, the WVT organizes informal drinks on the theme diversity. During the informal drinks there are various possibilities to address other diversity-related questions as well.
International Women's Day
Every year the WVT, on (or around) International Women's Day (8 March), organizes or co-hosts activities that celebrate International Women's Day.
Wilhelmina Drucker Awards
The WVT has established the Wilhelmina Drucker Awards to give young female talent the opportunity to do high-level research and to commit to recruiting prestigious scholarships. The WVT therefore makes these Awards available for talented female master students (or recent graduates), PhD students and junior researchers. With the Wilhelmina Drucker Awards, the WVT wants to offer young female talents a better chance on having a successful academic career.
