The UN-mission in Iraq, the attacks on the Twin Towers in New York, the personal threatening of Dutch politicians. These examples of military interventions, terrorism and personal lifeguarding show that security is a prominent topic in our society.
Guaranteeing security is a big challenge for professionals working in politics, governance and law. Safety problems are boundless and solving them asks for creative solutions coming from political, administrative and legal cooperation.
The Minor International Security offers a thematic deepening to students in the field of security in an international context. You get acquainted with current security questions and the related policymaking. You will use insights from political science, governance studies and law studies.
