Presentation types
This year, there are again several options for presenting your research:
1. “Normal” Paper
Present a paper with specific attention to the theme of the conference. The paper should include an abstract of 250 words and be no longer than 20 pages. (Suggestion: for fresh PhD candidates it might be interesting to present their 8-month product and MSR students can, for example, present their thesis proposal or a paper they’ve written earlier.)
2. “Ask us”
Do you want advice on how to engage a wider audience? Or tips on how to collect data in that awkward place called “the real world”?. This is your chance! Present your research and ask moderator and audience for hints and tips. You may also get some unexpected comments...
3. Poster
Create an A0-sized poster with an outline of your research; conference-style. Try out your poster on your colleagues and inform them about your research and invite them to help you improve it. Find some examples of posters here: poster example 1, poster example 2, poster example 3.
4. Column
Want to share some experiences of linking theory and practice? Or, in contrast, do you want to tell about how you sometimes feel stuck in your office? Here’s the opportunity: write an opinionated column of about 2 pages on any topic you like and present it during the conference. Be creative!
