Award for thesis on Palestinian youth

Gijs Verbossen, who graduated from the Master’s programme in Social and Cultural Anthropology in 2010, is one of the two winners of the NGIZ Genootschapsprijs 2010.

He receives the award for his thesis ‘A Future under Occupation‘, for which he did field research among young Palestinian men in a refugee camp on the West Bank.  
 
The NGIZ Genootschapsprijs is an initiative of the Dutch Association for International Affairs and is annually awarded to the best thesis about current international affairs. The granting will take place in on 12 April 2012.
