Grant for database brothers and sisters
03-03-10Hilde Bras, assistant professor at the Department of Social Research Methodology at VU University Amsterdam, received a grant from the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research to set up a database for biographical information of 6000 pairs of brothers and sisters, from 1850 until now.
Book on justice system reform in Afghanistan
03-03-10Matteo Tondini, post-doc researcher at the Department of Public Administration at VU University Amsterdam, has published a research monograph on justice system reform in Afghanistan, entitled Statebuilding and Justice Reform: Post-Conflict Reconstruction in Afghanistan.

How to configure a forwarding address in the new VU mail
02-18-10Your university mail can be sent to an external mail address. Even if you've already configured a forwarding address in the past, you'll have to do this again in the new mail system.

Philipp Pattberg won 2009 Science Prize

New mailservice for all VU students
01-28-10A new VU mail service for students is introduced! On Friday 29th from 6 PM FSW-accounts will be transferred to the new mail platform. During the migration you will have limited access to your VU Mail. From February 1 you will have to use the new Webmail location: https://webmail.vu.nl
Master’s Theses online
01-27-10From February 2010 onwards all FSW graduate theses have to be entered into the thesis database of the VU Amsterdam University Library. At the same time an automatic plagiarism scan is introduced. Consequently the Master’s Thesis Regulations and the Certification Procedure are adapted.
