ESN-VUniverse

ESN-VUniverse is the student association for Dutch and international students at VU University Amsterdam. They introduce international students to both the university and the city of Amsterdam. At the beginning of each semester ESN-VUniverse organizes the International Students Introduction Days.

Mentor system

Your stay in Amsterdam is a new adventure and can be filled with uncertainties and questions. On request, the International Office can arrange a student mentor for your questions/problems concerning your stay in Amsterdam.

Sports

VU University Amsterdam provides facilities for different kinds of sports. All sports are played in the vicinity of the university. The main sports centre is at Uilenstede, which is in walking distance of most accommodation arranged by the International Office.

Cultural Centre ‘De Griffioen’

‘De Griffioen’ is the university’s cultural centre located at Uilenstede. It organizes various theatre and dance performances, concerts, seminars and film evenings.
