VU-net-ID
The VU-net-ID is your personal code to access the university’s various ICT services, like blackboard and your student e-mail. During the faculty introduction you will receive a letter with your VU-net-ID. If you have forgotten your VU-net-ID you should contact the Student Desk (room OA-11, main building).
Student e-mail
All students have a personal e-mail address. The Faculty will send important information to this address, so it is essential that you read your incoming mail regularly.
Computer rooms
Seven computer rooms are available to students from the Faculty of Social Sciences.
- One room on the seventh floor in the main building. Opening hours can be found here.

Campus wide wireless network
A wireless network is available throughout the whole VU campus. You can access the wireless network with your own notebook free of charge, by logging in with your VU-net-ID.
Blackboard
Blackboard is the university’s digital learning environment. Here you will find information on all the courses you have registered for and notifications from your tutors. Two weeks before the start of a new course or module, relevant course information will be posted on Blackboard. You can login to Blackboard using your VU-net-ID.
