Research
The PhD project on informal and formal guardianship will focus on the influence of the neighbourhood and the interaction with the police on residents’ choice to supervise or intervene when crime occurs.
Other Information
Maud van Bavel received her Masters degree in Lifecourse-criminology and International Crimes and Criminology at the VU University Amsterdam, in July 2009. As of January 2010, she is associated with a collaborative project between the VU University’s Faculty of Social Sciences, department of Governance studies and the NSCR, as a PhD student.
