Who we are and what we do...
The Department of Culture, Organization and Management (COM) explores the cultural dimension of management and organization. In the 20 years since its inception, the programme has evolved into a field of study that is unparalleled in the Netherlands. Adopting a perspective that encompasses both the national and the international, the programme addresses questions surrounding organizational culture, ethnicity and diversity in national and transnational organizational configurations. At the same time, the programme investigates the links between intervention strategies for cultural change and the efficiency and effectiveness of organizations.
The Department of COM’s academic staff comprises some 35 lecturers and researchers together with secretarial staff. The department is home to approximately 50 pre-Master’s students and around 150 Master’s students.
