Xanthe S. Plaisier has a Masters degree in developmental psychology and worked as a trainee in a psychiatric hospital at the department for children and adolescents. In 2010 she obtained her Masters degree in communication science and worked as a trainee at the Dutch Institute for Sound and Vision (Nederlands Instituut voor Beeld en Geluid, Hilversum). During her study she worked as a student and research assistant and later as a lecturer at the department of communication at VU University, Amsterdam where she now is a PhD. candidate.
