Job Perspectives

Communication science at the VU is unique: Our education aims at developing high academic skills and combining this with an alive relation to the practice field. We offer education on all levels (Bachelor, Pre-Master, Master, Minor) and unique Master Programs with specializations on Political and Public Communication, Corporate Communications and New Media, Health and Marketing Communication and Media Psychology. We are very well provided with newest technologies such as e-labs and we have a broad national and international network to academic institutions and political and economic organizations.

Also, we consist of very well known researchers and young and ambitious teachers operating in a dynamic environment (Faculty). The Department is furthermore continuously improving its courses: by the steady development of teaching skills and integration of new teaching methods, and by the integration of newest research insights and methods from the academic field.

Students therefore receive a great education to become highly qualified employees and excellent researchers. The huge spectrum of professions of our alumni proofs that this concept works out very well: Our Alumni are successful working in academic research, as journalists in the media, in Marketing, Public Relations, and related areas.
