Faculty organization and Board

The Faculty of Social Sciences employs a total of about 300 people. Most of these (approximately 240) are scientists, while the others support the Board, the students and the departments.

The Faculty is headed by the Dean, who chairs the Faculty Board and bears ultimate responsibility for administrative affairs at the faculty level. Besides the Dean, the Faculty Board consists of a portfolio holder for teaching, a portfolio holder for research, a Director of Operations, and a student advisor. The Board meets the heads of the departments monthly, and every two months it meets the Joint Assembly consisting of the Faculty Sub-committee and the Faculty Student Council.
