The Graduate School of Social Sciences at the VU University aims to provide integrated training for talented and ambitious graduate students in the social sciences. Newly established, the graduate school brings together the faculty’s 2-year Research Master and the PhD Programme. Besides the collective classes, The Graduate School will also provide for lectures, The Graduate School platform and opportunities for international exchange with prominent partner institutions. The Graduate School occupies over 80 PhD candidates and around 25 research master students.

The Anthropology of Children Working Group brings together academics and practitioners engaged in research and work with children. Through monthly seminars, the Working Group promotes child-oriented theory, methodology, and research ethics. Besides, it serves as a platform for (interdisciplinary) academic research and it enhances dialogue with practitioners through joint research projects, publications and conferences.
